Nixon Rider Rob Machado Added to Surfing Walk of Fame
Nixon pro rider Rob Machado was inducted into the Huntington Beach along with a cast of six other legendary surfers, shapers, and pioneers of the sport during the U.S. Open of Surfing. The Surfing Walk of Fame bears over 100 names engraved in granite from the past 18 years of commemoration. Huntington Beach holds a special place with Machado, as he has won three U.S Open titles during his career, and has a break named “Machado’s Peak” – the sandbar 400 yards south of the Huntington Beach Pier.
