June 21st 2011 is the 8th anual “Go Skateboarding” day, a day that will be celebrated by skaters around the world. The official holiday of skateboarding began in 2003 with some simple BBQ and skating sessions in Southern California. From there it evolved into what you see today. Skateboarders in countries around the world will hold demos, fundraisers, signings, benefits, and some will just go out and skate.

Emerica‘s Wild In The Streets is set to support skaters in the epicenter of skateboarding for the first time. On June, 21, 2011, the entire Emerica team will hit the streets with skaters of Los Angeles, CA on Go Skateboarding day in support of Boards for Bros, a group of young, philanthropist skateboarders working to gather used skateboards to refurbish and spread back to the less fortunate. Boards for Bros provides boards to kids who would otherwise have no access to them. Read more…
